Description

There are boats that simply get you from one destination to another, and then there are boats that become part of the adventure. Delta Blues is firmly in the second category.

Looking for a boat with personality?

Meet Delta Blues.

She has already completed America's Great Loop. Along the way she proved exactly why Jefferson Cockpit Motor Yachts continue to have such a loyal following. Comfortable enough to live aboard for months at a time, practical enough to anchor out for extended cruising, and thoughtfully designed with features many modern boats simply don't offer.

Powered by dependable twin 210 HP Perkins 6.354 turbocharged diesel engines, Delta Blues cruises comfortably around 10 knots at 1,600-1,800 RPM, providing the fuel efficiency and reliability long-distance cruisers appreciate. Her full-length keel helps protect the running gear while improving directional stability, and the walkaround side decks make line handling and locking easy for a cruising couple.

One of the first things you'll notice aboard is just how much usable space Jefferson packed into this design. With three private staterooms, two heads, a spacious salon, lower helm, generous galley, stand-up engine room, expansive lazarette, cockpit, and flybridge, this yacht feels substantially larger than her 48-foot length suggests. Whether you're cruising with grandchildren, another couple, or simply enjoying the extra room as liveaboards, everyone has their own space to relax.

Delta Blues is equally comfortable away from the dock. Her impressive off-grid capability includes a 940Ah LiFePO4 lithium house battery bank, over 1,300 watts of LG solar panels, and a 2800-watt inverter/charger, allowing extended time on the hook while dramatically reducing generator run time.

Speaking of anchoring, this boat was built for it. She carries a 45 lb CQR primary anchor, 20 lb Bruce secondary anchor, stern anchor, and 250 feet of anchor chain, giving owners confidence whether tucked into a quiet cove or spending weeks exploring remote anchorages.

The current owners have continued investing in Delta Blues with numerous upgrades including a new Raymarine autopilot (2026), new Raymarine depth finder, new Strataglass enclosure with screens, new forward stateroom windows, new teak in the forward stateroom, new 185-gallon freshwater tank, starboard Velvet Drive transmission rebuild (2023), starboard camshaft replacement (2024), new generator battery, and much more.

The electrical system has also been thoughtfully modernized with lithium batteries, solar charging, updated inverter equipment, and newer starting batteries—exactly the upgrades today's Loopers are searching for.

Docking is made easier thanks to her cockpit design, walkaround decks, lower helm, and excellent visibility. The stand-up engine room provides exceptional service access, while abundant storage throughout the vessel makes provisioning for long cruises simple.

Included with the sale is a 2019 West Marine RIB 310 center console tender powered by a 15 HP Mercury outboard, plus an E-bike with a new battery, allowing you to easily explore every harbor, town, and waterfront destination along your journey.

If your cruising dreams include the Great Loop, extended coastal cruising, or simply living comfortably aboard at your favorite marina, Delta Blues delivers the combination of character, capability, efficiency, and comfort that is becoming increasingly difficult to find.
